GOLF

If you are reading this page I am going to assume you have some interest level in the game of Golf. Whether you play three times a year, or you eat, sleep and dream golf and can’t wait for the next time you can hit the little white ball, you have arrived at just the right place. I myself am addicted to the game. A 10 step program, where I admit to being a golfaholic and promise to kick the habit, would make a lot of sense in my life. Unfortunately, I have no will power and no desire to quit.

People ask me all the time, “John, if you love golf so much, why are you living in the mountains where you can’t play in the winter, why not live in another part of the country where the weather is fair year ’round?” The answer is simple. I can play golf all year AND I still get to live in Paradise.

Golf season here in the mountains begins in May and ends in November. However, when November rolls around, golf is still going strong in the valley (Carson City & Reno). In most years you can golf all winter down the hill. In as little as 30 minutes I can be at a very nice golf course down the hill. What makes Incline Village really unique for golfers is the ability to play golf all winter as well as enjoy all the other winter sports as well. Imagine, theorhetically, you could golf in the morning and ski in the afternoon. Where else in the world can you do that! Also, within an hour you can be in the foothills of California for even more winter golf.

Now that you are aware of the weather options, let’s talk about your playing options. There are so many golf opprtunities available it could make your head spin. There are at least 30 golf courses within an hours drive of Incline Village. The variety is staggering. From pricey high end golf resorts, to the very modest and inexpensive public courses and everything in between, there is something for everybody.

If you happen to own a piece of Incline Village Real Estate, you are one lucky golfer. We have two golf courses right here in town. One course is THE CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF COURSE and the other one is the MOUNTAIN COURSE. The BIG COURSE is one of my favorite tracks in the world. A visitor will pay up to $175.00 per round while residents pay approximately $55.00 in high season.
The MOUNTAIN COURSE is an extremely challenging executive course. Greens fees are much less. Below you will find a complete listing of all your choices:
