INCLINE VILLAGE VOICE

The in place for everything you need to know about incline village.

Activities

One could live here full time, or visit many times over the years and probably never experience everything available to do here at Lake Tahoe. The variety of activities on a year ’round basis boggles the mind. If you like being outdoors, you will find the pot of gold, at the end of the rainbow, waiting for you here in Incline Village. In this section of my blogsite I am going to attempt to illustrate evrything available to you. I say “attempt” because I will probably leave some things off the list. There is so much to do it would be hard to summerize it all in one place. I am going to make a herculian attempt!

Before I start my list, I would like to pose a question. What good would all these activities be if the weather was so unpredictable you could not enjoy them? Here at Lake Tahoe the weather is idylic. We have over 300 days a year of sunshine and the air is dry. Summers usually hover in the low to mid-eighties with no humidity and freedom from insects. Winters are mild, sunny and dry. Whatever activity you are interested in persuing, the weather is usually very friendly. As a matter of fact, the climate is so nice, you could golf and ski on the same day if you so desired. Since Reno and Carson City are high desert communities, they offer opportunities during the winter that may not be available in the mountains, such as golf. Most of us who live here full time consider this place PARADISE, that is why we have purchased Incline Village Real Estate. Whether you live here or just visit, you will not be bored, it is impossible!

Just as a note, or maybe a warning, this section of my site is just about activities. It does not address EVENTS. You can CLICK HERE to get to the events section. There are hundreds of events scheduled throughout the year. There are art shows, music festivals, concerts, food festivals and countless special events such as Hot August Nights, Blues Brews & Barbeques, Street Vibrations, The Camel Races and many others. When you start thinking about mixing activities with events, or choosing between them, or napping on your deck in a hammock, it becomes pretty obvious, this is one of the best places on earth to do everything or nothing.
